Odessa Classic Winery is the largest wine producer in Ukraine, located in the neighbourhood of the ancient settlement of Lebedivka, founded by the German settlers more than 200 years ago. Lebedivka’s land is a part of an eco-zone of the saltwater lagoon of Burnas – a reserved habitat of graceful swans. For many decades the presence of these birds has been the highlight of the region and, at the same time, it’s prove for the ecological cleanness. Owing to them, the area obtained it’s name “Lebedivka”, derived from “The land of the swans”. The winery has over 800 hectares in vines in its vineyards, grown on the Southern soils that are rich in humus, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The winemakers of Odessa Classic Winery carefully plan the formation of the variety assortment, combining popular European varietals with unique local species.
