Launched in 2008 as a seasonal webzine, Playing Fashion has become the first title in postsoviet nations that provides an original dialogue between people interested not only in fashion, but also in arts and culture. It is created by and for people from all over the world—namely, from Moscow to Sydney, from Tokyo to New York, from London to Paris. In November 2009, the first printed issue of Playing Fashion is released. Since then, Playing Fashion is published as a monthly magazine delivered in A3 format size. At the same time, its digital publication has got its own content, concentrated mostly on visual stories and building a background for the printed edition.
