Kharkiv non-governmental association for active youth “Stella” is a youth non-profit organization of active young people, students, volunteers and alumni of international exchange programs working and living all over Ukraine. Kharkiv NGO Stella sees its main mission in the building of more tolerant, understanding and accepting society in Ukraine. The main aim of NGO Stella is to promote youth development in Ukraine and to foster active participation of its citizens in civil society. The main objectives are: - spreading the ideas of tolerance, cultural diversity, anti-discrimination, social inclusion, gender equality, sustainable development, healthy lifestyle and active citizenship; - participating in Erasmus + projects; - sending volunteers for European Voluntary Service projects; - organizing, seminars, training courses, festivals, exhibitions, concerts and conferences on the national as well as international levels; - visiting local schools and other educational public and private institutions in order to make presentation about personal development; - using non-formal methods of education; - informing Ukrainian youth about sports, cultural, educational and voluntary opportunities. NGO “Stella” has very creative and enthusiastic staff - it consists of 4 youth workers and has more than 200 members. The staff of "Stella"​ has organized several Youth in Action and ERASMUS+ youth exchanges and training courses and has been actively participating in other projects on various topics. The organization regularly provides local, national and international seminars, meetings, training courses and consultative services. Members of NGO “Stella” are strongly and actively involved in volunteering and youth work on national as well as international levels since 2009. Project staff has previous experience in organizing trainings, conferences and similar local events.
